Get Fit With Your Family

We all know that staying fit is super important for our overall well-being. It’s not just about looking good, but it also has a positive impact on our heart health, our joints, and of course, our mental health too! I know it can be tough to find the time to exercise, but have you considered joining a gym like David Lloyd? They make fitness fun for the whole family! We are members of our local David Lloyd and we’re so glad that we made that decision.

The best part about a gym is all the variety they offer. From weightlifting to yoga, there’s something for everyone. Plus, expert trainers can help you reach your fitness goals safely and effectively.

We decided to make it a full family membership, as we both felt strongly about leading by example to our children. We wanted to show them that we took care of our health and we want them to as well. Being together at the gym, even if it’s just a splash in the pool together, is a great way to teach our kids about healthy habits, show them how exercise and movement can be enjoyable and set them up for a lifetime of good health.

We’re also holding ourselves accountable. If we have told the kids that we’re heading out to the gym, they don’t let us back out just because we’re tired.

An accountability partner is always a good idea when you’re committing to a new health goal or new fitness regime. It’s been proven that when we commit to another person, in the form of an accountability partner, we’re 65% more likely to achieve our end goal. Maybe that will be your best friend, your partner or your children. But it’s definitely worth doing!
