What is a chemical peel?
A chemical peel is a minimally invasive procedure
that helps improve the appearance of the skin. During
the procedure, our OBAGI clinician will carefully apply
combinations of powerful solutions to the face,
décolletage (neck and chest), or hands to remove dead
skin cells. The solutions penetrate into the skin, causing
dead skin cells to peel off. The new skin is smoother and
more refined-looking.

THE OBAGI Blue Peel RADIANCE® HOW DOES IT WORK?
Our highly experienced clinician will thoroughly cleanse and prepare your skin for treatment. The peel solution will then be carefully applied to the face, neck and chest or hands to remove the dead skin cells. This gentle but powerful solution penetrates into the skin for several minutes, causing dead skin cells to simply peel off. During the treatment, your skin will likely feel very warm. The clinician will conclude your treatment applying a long lasting hydration and SPF cream.
Each Obagi Blue Radiance Peel treatment will last approximately 30 minutes.
In the days following the procedure, you may experience mildly dry, red or flaking skin for up to seven days.

About Obagi Blue Peel RADIANCE®
It is common to experience some degree of heat or tingling during the Obagi Blue Radiance Peel treatment. However, in most cases this will be mild.
Our Clinic specialist will be able to assess your skin and create a bespoke treatment plan to get the most from the Obagi Blue Radiance Peel. For optimum results, we recommend having a peel treatment every two to four weeks, for a total of four to six peels.
The Obagi Blue Radiance Peel treatment takes around 30 minutes.
For a week prior, and two weeks after treatment, avoid extensive sun exposure.
During this period you should also avoid facials, fake tan, electrolysis, waxing, tweezing, depilatory creams, and laser hair removal.
Please avoid shaving on the day of treatment. Please arrive for your appointment with a clean face (no makeup, perfume or aftershave).
We will not be able to treat patients with active cold sores or warts, wounds, sunburn, excessively sensitive skin, dermatitis or inflammatory rosacea in the area, because the procedure could potentially precipitate a flare up or spreading. If you have a history of cold sores, antiviral medication may be used prior to treatment and continued for one week after.
Patients with a history of allergies, rashes, or other skin reactions may be sensitive to treatment.
This peel is not recommended if you have taken Roaccutane (isotretinoin) within the past year, or received chemotherapy or radiation therapy.
Please advise us of any medical condition or medications that you are taking before every treatment. Certain drugs may counter-indicate treatment and increase the risk of unwanted side effects.
Avoid sun exposure to reduce the chance of hyperpigmentation or darker pigmentation. We highly recommend using sunscreen SPF30+ at all times.
Please avoid facials, electrolysis, waxing, tweezing, depilatory creams and laser hair removal for two weeks after treatment. For the first week following your treatment avoid harsh cleansers, scrubs, scrubbing brushes, washcloths.
