ClearSkin Laser for Acne and Acne Scars in Leeds
ClearSkin is a non-ablative 1540 nm erbium glass laser on the Alma Harmony XL Pro platform. With built-in contact cooling and gentle vacuum, it treats the oil glands and bacteria behind breakouts without damaging the skin’s surface, so there is no downtime. At The Leeds Clinic in Roundhay, a typical course is 6 to 12 sessions, 2 to 4 weeks apart, set at your consultation.
Acne and acne scarring, treated in one course
Acne is driven by excess oil, blocked pores and bacteria. In teenagers and adults it can leave lasting marks. ClearSkin treats active breakouts and the scarring they leave behind.
How ClearSkin laser works?
Each pulse is delivered through a tip that combines contact cooling with gentle vacuum. The vacuum helps lift oil from the pore, the 1540 nm pulses reach the oil glands to reduce oil production and acne bacteria, and the cooling protects the skin’s surface. The same gentle heat stimulates collagen renewal, which is why a course can also soften the look of acne scars.

About ClearSkin
Treats active mild-to-moderate inflammatory acne; Softens the appearance of acne scars; Suitable for all skin types, confirmed at consultation; No downtime; Smoother, clearer-looking skin as a course progresses; Results vary between people.
ClearSkin can be used on the face, neck, chest, back and arms.
ClearSkin is a non-ablative 1540 nm erbium glass laser with built-in contact cooling and gentle vacuum. It targets three drivers of acne: excess oil, blocked pores and bacteria. The pulses pass through the surface to the oil glands, so the outer layer of skin stays intact. Over a course, oil-gland activity and acne bacteria are reduced, and many people see fewer new breakouts. Contact cooling keeps treatment comfortable.
Most courses are 6 to 12 sessions, 2 to 4 weeks apart. Your clinician sets the number at your consultation based on acne severity and how your skin responds.
There is no downtime and you can return to normal activities. We recommend: avoid heat treatments (saunas, steam, hot baths) for 24 hours; avoid sun exposure and sunbeds; wear SPF 30 or higher every day.
ClearSkin can be combined with other treatments in a plan built around your skin, including iPixel laser resurfacing, microneedling, LED light therapy, acne-scar subcision and TCA CROSS. Your clinician will recommend the right combination at your consultation.
