Fat Dissolving Injections In Leeds
Fat Dissolving Injections are a non-surgical solution to minimise and remove stubborn localised pockets of fat. It is ideal for those who have pockets of fat that won’t shift, even with a good diet and exercise. This simple and effective procedure also shrinks double chins as well as improving the definition of the jawline. The treatment contracts the skin in order to achieve a more streamlined, youthful appearance. This technique consists of injecting the solution into localised fat deposits. Fat Dissolving Injections consists of phosphatidylcholine and/or Deoxycholic Acid – a natural substance which, when given in higher doses, can cause the destruction of fat cells.
FAT DISSOLVING INJECTIONS
Also known as Injection lipolysis chemically reduces the number of fat cells around the injection site. The chemical, called deoxycholic acid, results in fat cell disruption
Fat dissolving Injections are great for destroying the fat cells as a long-term solution provided you retain a stable weight, eat healthily and continue exercise as usual. This leads to a permanent reduction of fatty tissue; once removed, fat cells will not reappear.
Unlike liposuction, Fat Dissolving Injections normally leads to a degree of skin contraction too, so you’re less likely to end up with loose skin around the areas which have been treated.

WHAT ARE THE MAIN TREATMENT AREAS FOR FAT DISSOLVING?
can be used anywhere on the face or neck where fat cells have built up. The following are some of the most popular treatment areas:
Double chin
Jowls
Stomach/belly
Outer and inner thighs
and more!
HOW TO GET RID OF A DOUBLE CHIN WITH FAT DISSOLVING INJECTIONS
Using fat dissolving product, our doctors inject small amounts of deoxycholic acid, the active ingredients for carrying out the dissolving, under the chin area with micro-fine needles. This procedure last up to 45 minutes and is relatively pain-less. There is swelling for up to two-three weeks after fat dissolving injections which is a common side effct of the treatment and a sign of the fat cells disrupting and flushing through the body. Fat dissolving injections are a great alternative to surgery as it works naturally with the body and is a great solution for those interested in fat reduction that has long lasting results on localised pockets of fat.

WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM FAT DISSOLVING TREATMENTS?
Fat Dissolving Injections are intended for people with localised fat tissue not responding to diet or increased physical exercise. It’s not intended for weight loss as such, but rather to improve and alter the contour of the body by removing stubborn areas of fat.

Fat Dissolving / Lipolysis
The active ingredients emulsifies fats by dissolves the membranes of fat cells in the treated area.
Once the fat cells become unstable, they break down, and the body’s immune system then eliminates the fatty acids via the lymphatic system and liver.
Unlike liposuction, the treatment will also cause skin tightening in the area, so you are less likely to end up with loose skin feeling more contoured and toned.
The products will break down subcutaneous fat over a month and in most cases starts to work straight away once the product is injected.
Although in general on a fit and healthy person, fat dissolving is a relatively safe and effective treatment to use. There are of course some things to consider that may stop or alter the way in which we do this treatment.
• Pregnancy and breastfeeding - It is never advised to complete any form of fat loss
treatment on a pregnant or feeding mother. Studies show breast feeding can aid in the loss of fat in woman in the tummy and hips. Treatment can be carried out 3 months post birth for non-feeding mothers.
• Not suitable on people under 18 and not advised on people over 60 as results may not be
as effective.
• Lipodystrophy (where the body is unable to produce fat).
• Lipoedema is an abnormal build up of fat often in the legs and sometimes found in the
arms also. Cause is often unknown and liposuction is the only effective way of removal of
this stubborn fat.
• Liver and kidney disease or disorders.
• Diabetes.
• Thyroid disorders.
• Permanent use of anticoagulants.
• Skin disease and disorders in the target area - psoriasis, eczema, scabies etc.
• Scar tissue - Do not treat in scar tissue area until 6 months post healing.
• Infectious blood conditions - HIV, Aids and hepatitis.
• Current infection or illness.
• For the use of excessive weight loss.
Fat dissolving injections work by causing an inflammatory reaction, and therefore you may experience some swelling for up to 5 days post treatment. This is usually mild, and can be controlled using cool pads. Due to how the treatment works, you should not manage any side effects with anti inflammatory medicines as this will be counter intuitive to the treatment.
Other side effects:
You may notice some temporary reddening of the skin, or itching, but this is normal and will gradually reduce over a few days
Fat reduction is permanent, for the fat cells are destroyed; they don’t come back. Of course, if more weight is gained, then the fatty appearance will return, but in proportion with the new shape gained.
Some mild discomfort may occur during treatment application due to the nature of this being an injectable treatment. We apply a Topical anesthetic to help with pain management should this be required.
Length of time for Results
You can expect it to take approx 2-3 weeks before you start to see a reduction in fatty deposits around the chin and jawline, giving a slimmer and less wobbly appearance to the face, helping to eliminate double chins. For larger areas, you will begin to notice the effects after 2-3 weeks, but should allow up to 8 weeks for the final result to be apparent.
How many treatments do I need?
Typically 1-3 treatments will be required to achieve your desired result, but this will be discussed in your pre-treatment consultation along with your expectations. This treatment has a high patient satisfaction rate.
